Our petition is going to Downing Street!

1.05.55pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 4th Jul 2007

On Friday 6th July, Sharon Bowles MEP will go to 10 Downing Street to present more than 15,000 signatures protesting at Eurostar's cuts.

Sharon will be accompanied by Peter Skinner MEP (Labour), Edith Robson (an energetic campaigner from Ashford) and several other supporters from various interest groups.

Signatures submitted to the petition on this site before 3pm (BST) on Thursday 5th July will be included in those submitted at Downing Street.

Any signatures received after that time will still be forwarded on, and will still be appreciated!

Sharon says "I want to send my thanks to all those who have already signed this petition. I sincerely hope that when they see the strength of feeling expressed through these 15,000 signatures, the Government may finally step in and force Eurostar to make a real commitment to a future for international train services from Ashford."
